“For the last fifteen years I’ve been running a successful consultancy and training business based in the North East of England, and I travel extensively around the world.

I have worked in broadcast regulation as an Editorial Adviser to the BBC Trust and have chaired Ofcom’s Community Radio Funding Panel.

Previously I worked at a senior level in three of the BBC’s national radio stations: BBC Radio 4, 5Live and BBC Radio One.

As Head of the BBC in the North East & Cumbria I led a team of 250 staff on 9 sites across TV, radio and online.
